Installation unique to Mambo

Download the installation files

First, download Mambo (in the section Files, Mambo CMS) and the Czech localization (Mambo_Official_Translation_Packages-EN).

Unpacking files

1. unzip the downloaded application Mambo to a directory on your computer. It is necessary to preserve the directory structure-after unpacking, you should find, inter alia, the directory administrator, cache, components, editor and more.
2. to another directory (outside the structure of the Mambo) unpack the package with the Czech localization. In the directory, subdirectories en_US, glossary, and the file en_US. xml. These, move to the directory language their local installation of Mambo.

Copy the files to the web

Transfer all files and folders with their content from the root directory of the expanded application of the Mambo by using FTP client to the folder on the server where you want to install the application-for example, the root of the Mambo public_html.

For the operation of this unique system, we recommend our program LinuxPHP5_CGI, which is ready for him.

Transfer files to the server may take several minutes depending on the speed of your connection, because the expanded application of Mambo takes almost 15 MB and contains a large number of small files. In the directory where Mambo is located, create a subdirectory for temporary files, for example. tmp and assign it rights 7-7-0. Htaccess file to the file doplnte:

Database settings

For the functioning of the Mambo, you must have set up the mySQL database; This allows you to detail service LinuxPHP5_CGI to establish in its centre of administration by clicking on the "add another SQL database"

Installation

To start the installation, type the Web address in the browser, where the uploaded files to Mambo. For example, the address http://nazev-domeny.cz/. The installation will take place in the English language, the installed application will be completely in English, including front-end design/interface.

Preload control

Gets you a page with the heading "Preload control (pre-installation check)". Check directory zapisovatelnosti should report all directories as "Writeable". Continue by clicking on the button "Next" (in the upper right corner).

On the next page you can see the license program, if you are familiar with it, continue once again by clicking on "Next".

Custom installation

The first step of the installation is in the configuration database.

• In the box "Host Name", fill in the name-databaze.dbaserver.net,
• in box "MySQL User Name" and "MySQL Database Name" fill in name-database.
• As "MySQL Password" and "MySQL Password" enter the Verify password to the database.
• The other boxes, you can keep the default, if the siovšem wouldn't want to install sample data, uncheck the item "Install Sample Data".
After completing, click on "Next" to continue.


If you typed in the previous step, all right, we're getting to the next step. In the text box type, how is your page you designate. Click on "Next".



In this step, check the accuracy of the information. The site address (URL) and the path (Path) does not change. In the section "Your E-mail address" enter your email and password in the box "Admin" set your password in front-end design/interface for the management system Mambo. Continue by clicking on the "Next".



The last screen of the installation is the final confirmation that Mambo was successfully installed. Login to the admin is admin. The password you have set up in the previous step.

After installation, you must delete the Setup files. FTP client, connect to the Web site, and then delete the directory installation.

Czech settings

Login to front-end design/interface to your system to Mambo (at http://nazev-domeny.cz/administrator) and in the section "Languages" select English (Czech).
