What is the FTP client and how to use it?
- FTP (File transport protocol)-a protocol used to transfer files of your presentation on disk space for hostingových services provider from which Your page is presented.
- FTP space -disk space reserved on the server for your presentation.
To work with FTP, you must have a program-whether it's your browser, or some kind of special FTP clients without whom the same for a full-featured FTP access is essential. FTP client lets you (and mass) operations with files and directory, such as copying, deleting, editing, renaming, verifying upload data to the server and download from the server to your computer. In the FTP client, it should be possible to define access to the remote server.
To work with FTP you can utilize at least two ways:

The Web interface, however, unlike FTP client, usually has limited operations. FTP client lets you (and mass) operations with files and directory, such as copying, deleting, editing, renaming, uploading data to the server and download from the server to your computer. It is therefore preferable to devote a short time if the FTP client connection.

Appropriate is also "Use passive transfer mode (such as WWW browser)". This option can be set in most FTP clients, either directly or when defining a connection somewhere in the settings of the client. If you select this option you will have zatrženu, it may happen that you have problems with connection or when traffic through some Internet interface.
In the event that you want to avoid possible problems, we recommend that you set the passive transfer mode for all FTP connections. In Total Commander FTP client is this option in the menu: configuration-options-FTP-check by default, use the passive mode.
Below is an example of setting the passive mode of transmission in the Disk Manager Total Commander, which has a built-in FTP client.
For example, a connection to the FTP client using Total Commander:

- It appears the list of configured connections to FTP servers. If you have not yet set up, click on "New connection ..." and define the access data, which are listed above.
- If you wish to define a new connection, click on "new connection."
- Please enter the above access data and check box "Use passive transfer mode (like a Web browser)".
- Click on OK and připojite.
After you connect, you are ready to work with FTP. Operations with files and directory, it is possible to use mouse, keyboard shortcut, by clicking on the appropriate option, etc. Each FTP client offers a different environment and it is therefore up to you which you choose for comfortable work with FTP.
If you can't use your client to connect to the FTP is the most common cause of this problem blocking the connection from Your security software, such as an antivirus program or a firewall. In such a case, this merger is needed on your software, enable it.
